International Education College Organizes Cultural Experience for International Students

On April 3, the International Education College organized a cultural experience activity for international students to explore the traditions of the Qingming Festival. The event began with a lecture on the “24 Solar Terms,” during which the teacher explained the origins, cultural significance, and close relationship of the solar terms with agricultural production and traditional Chinese festivals.

Following the lecture, the students participated in a hands-on session making Qingming Festival sachets. Guided by the instructor, they threaded needles and filled the sachets with wormwood and herbal spices, experiencing traditional craftsmanship. The room was filled with the pleasant fragrance of herbs, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere.

Through both theoretical learning and hands-on practice, the activity helped international students deepen their understanding and appreciation of traditional Chinese culture and the 24 Solar Terms.
