Yang Jiechi Meets with Minister of the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Pehin Dato Lim Jock Seng of Brunei
On May 11, 2017, State Councilor Yang Jiechi met in Beijing with Minister of the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Pehin Dato Lim Jock Seng of Brunei, who was in China for the high-level meeting of the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF).
Yang Jiechi said that China-Brunei relations have enjoyed rapid development in recent years. Regarding Brunei as a trustworthy friend and partner, China is willing to, together with Brunei, under the "Belt and Road" initiative, maintain high-level exchanges, enhance the integration of development strategies, and expand cooperation in various fields, so as to benefit the two peoples.
Speaking highly of Brunei-China relations, Pehin Dato Lim Jock Seng expressed that Brunei stands ready to work with China to strengthen cooperation under the "Belt and Road" framework, and push bilateral relations for constant development. Pehin Dato Lim Jock Seng also wishes the BRF a complete success
